To Crown A Champion
2012
A driver who wishes to earn points must become a RODS member. A full membership is $150 per year. A full membership includes a RODS T-Shirt, and will be given a space on the 2012 RODS poster. The RODS awards banquet will be held in conjunction with the Albuquerque Dragway Banquet. The banquet will be held in January 2013.

Points will be awarded as follows:

Points will be awarded for qualifying positions:

Sharp Shooters:

#1 Qualifier - 16 points

#2 Qualifier - 15 points

#3 Qualifier - 14 points

#4 Qualifier - 13 points

#5 Qualifier - 12 points

#6 Qualifier - 11 points

#7 Qualifier - 10 points

#8 Qualifier - 9 points

Gunslingers:

#1 Qualifier - 8 points

#2 Qualifier - 7 points

#3 Qualifier - 6 points

#4 Qualifier - 5 points

#5 Qualifier - 4 points

#6 Qualifier - 3 points

#7 Qualifier - 2 points

#8 Qualifier - 1 point

any car that is an alternate and is instated into the race will not receive any qualifying points, but will receive round points

It will take a minimum of 4 cars to form a class.

5 points for teams who travel from further than 300 miles

10 points for any driver who enters a RODS event and passes tech with his/her car

20 points will be awarded to all qualifiers who qualify in either class.

20 points will be awarded for each round won in either class.

All points will be combined and a champion will be crowned at the end of the season.

The RODS Champion will receive:

- RODS Champion Jacket and 1st place award-

- 1 free night at the motel hosting the banquet -

- 2 free tickets to the awards banquet -

Runner - up to the Champion will receive:

- 2nd place award -

- 1 free night at the motel hosting the banquet -

- 2 free tickets to the awards banquet -

3^rd - 5^th place will receive:

- 3rd - 5th place awards -

- 2 free tickets to the awards banquet -
